Meet Pre-K Teacher Lyndsey Nichols!
Lyndsey comes to Smithton School from Sparta Lincoln School where she spent 4 years. Prior to that Lyndsey spent 8 years at St. John the Baptist here in Smithton teaching Pre-K. Ms. Nichols has her Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from SIUE.
She has a daughter named Nora Lynn, 2 dogs and 2 turtles and is engaged to Jeff.
In her spare time, Lyndsey likes to kayak and spent time with her family.
Ms. Nichols is excited to be back home & teaching in the district her family will be a part of!

As part of Mrs. Runyon's 6th Graders unit on the Middle Ages, she read the book, The Door in the Wall to the students. As they listened, they drew illustrations. The students in each class voted on their favorite. The winners are:
6B - Gage Traiteur with his illustration of the Lindsay Castle of Sir Peter.
6A - Vivian Kehrer illustrated the cross that Robin made and then threw and it broke.
6C - Makenna Neff illustrated a door in a wall which could have been used as a cover.
