October is AAC Awareness Month! Mrs. Morra, our amazing Speech Language Pathologist, reminds us that everyone deserves a voice with her amazing bulletin board!
AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, which are ways people use to communicate besides talking; typically when someone is unable to speak or hard to understand. However, we ALL use AAC when we type, text, write & gesture!

On Friday Mother Goose visited Pre-K for their Nursery Rhyme Party! Each student took turns reciting their own nursery rhyme from memory - earning themselves a badge into the Mother Goose Club! Then Mother Goose led the class outdoors to play silly games! There was the Itsy Bitsy Spider chase, Humpty Dumpty Egg Race and Egg Toss, a Jack Be Nimble jumping contest and the Jack and Jill Water Bucket races! When we came inside, Mother Goose had left us some muffins from Little Miss Muffet, and cheese sticks from the Hickory Dickory Doc mice!
