Our Pre-K and Early Childhood Classes celebrated today with an Honors Celebration at Smithton Park. Each student was recognized being the wonderful little humans that they are. We are elated to see how successful our first year of Pre-K and EC at Smithton School was. We can't wait to see what these kiddos do next! It's off to Kindergarten for many of them! Ms . Nichols, Ms. Flake , Ms. Wilson & Ms. Parker are so proud of each of them.

Mrs. Carter hosted two visiting artists in her art classroom yesterday. Artists Nick and Melissa Bossenbroek are showing/selling their artwork at the annual Art on the Square event in Belleville this weekend. Students learned how the artists create their work and how the process of participating in art festivals works. Nick is a nature photographer and Melissa is a scratchboard artist. Pre-K had so much fun at Mommy & Me Day, celebrating with our Mommy's and Maw Maws! We painted Mommy Pots together, and then spent some time pampering our guests with mud masks, shoulder and arm massages! We also shared some refreshments with cucumber water and 'mock'tails, and some mommy's even stayed for lunch! A big thank you to the Geoppo/Toennies Family for providing Papa Vito's for our mom's to enjoy!

This week in STEM... Kindergarten cut up vegetables, 2nd grade observed worms & 8th grade worked with snap circuits.
Join the Smithton School Art and Music Departments in our Fine Arts Night on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. There will be an art walk, interactive activities, and live music scheduled from 5:00-7:00pm and will culminate with the final band and chorus concert of the school year at 7:30pm in the gymnasium. Come celebrate the hard work of our fine arts students!
